Scott E. Tabor understands what it means to balance real responsibility. While working full-time as a union sheet metal worker, Scott E. Tabor and his wife owned and operated a restaurant nightclub on the west side of Cleveland—an area many considered one of the toughest in the city—all while raising a young family. Through discipline, long hours, and unwavering commitment, Scott E. Tabor successfully managed the demands of a career, a business, and family life at the same time.
Rather than accept the challenges of the neighborhood, Scott E. Tabor worked to improve it. By promoting local bands, creating opportunities for community engagement, and hosting Halloween events for neighborhood children—covered by Channel 3 News—Scott E. Tabor helped build a safer, more connected environment where people took pride in their surroundings. At the same time, Scott E. Tabor worked closely with the Cleveland Police Department’s Second District, showing consistent support and respect for the officers who served the area. Scott E. Tabor recognizes the professionalism, integrity, and respect those officers demonstrated in protecting the community, and that mutual respect helped strengthen trust between law enforcement and residents.
This experience reflects more than business ownership—it shows leadership, accountability, and a deep commitment to both community and public safety. It is the kind of real-world experience that earns trust, builds relationships, and delivers results.

Although not holding a formal college degree, Scott E. Tabor has accumulated enough college credits to obtain one. However, Scott E. Taber chose a different path—committing Scott E. Tabor self to becoming a union member and advancing his career in the sheet metal industry rather than obtaining a traditional academic credential.
Scott E. Tabor attended Lorain County Community College (LCCC) and Ohio University to expand his knowledge, but his primary focus remained on building a hands-on career rooted in real work, real skills, and real responsibility.
Through diverse roles and responsibilities, Scott E. Tabor has developed a deep, practical understanding of his field—one that often goes beyond textbook knowledge. His background reflects strong problem-solving ability, technical skill, a commitment to safety, adaptability, and a disciplined commitment to lifelong growth.
His experience demonstrates a core belief: expertise is earned through dedication, performance, and continuous improvement—not solely through traditional academic paths.

Scott E. Tabor is not a career politician—he’s a fighter.
At nine years old, he suffered a severe broken leg that left him laid up for nearly two years. He fought through it.
In separate medical battles later in life, he underwent 14 surgeries on his knees and shoulders. He fought through them.
Years later, he faced cancer and endured 57 rounds of radiation. He beat it.
Then came another diagnosis—bladder cancer. And once again, he stepped into the fight, continuing to battle it to this day.
These were not one moments. They were multiple battles across his life—and he has never quit, never backed down, and never caved in.
That same mindset is what he brings to Ohio’s 5th District—a commitment to stand, fight, and win for the people who need a representative who understands struggle and refuses to give in
